Snow coming to Lanier Islands

BUFORD - Lake Lanier Islands will bring a touch of the Great White North to the Deep South with the debut of SnowWorld this winter.<br /> <br /> Held in conjunction with Lanier Islands Christmas featuring a newly re-imagined holiday light show, SnowWorld will comprise five speed slides featuring slick "icy" surfaces in place of water, a snowy 13-lane tube slide, four snow play zones, ice skating, a number of family-friendly eateries, and firepits for roasting marshmallows<br /> <br /> Lanier Islands Christmas will be open nightly November 21-December 31, and SnowWorld will be open on select days through March 1.
