ATLANTA - The Georgia Department of Transportation's South Hall County Maintenance Crew was honored at this year's District Employee Appreciation Day with the 2014 Georgia Innovator's Award for developing a better way to perform job duties.<br />

In presenting the award in Atlanta recently, GDOT Commissioner Keith Golden said, "Danny Crane, Slade Gabriel, Anthony Boggs and Lynn Shook developed an innovative method to complete the work faster and more efficiently minimizing the impact to motorists."<br />
<br />
Danny Crane is the Foreman for the South Hall Maintenance Crew, he began his career with GDOT in 1992 and lives in Maysville.<br />
<br />
Slade Gabriel is the Assistant Foreman for the South Hall Maintenance Crew, he started working with GDOT in 2006 and lives in Cleveland.<br />
<br />
Anthony Boggs is an Equipment Operator Two for the South Hall Maintenance Crew, starting with GDOT in 2008 and lives in Gainesville.<br />
<br />
Lynn Shook is now the Assistant Maintenance Foreman with the White County Maintenance Crew. He began working at GDOT in 2005 and lives in Dahlonega.
