GAINESVILLE - The holiday season is fast approaching and Enota Multiple Intelligences Academy's students and families decided to do their bit to help the community through the Fal-can Food Drive.

Sponsored by the Atlanta Falcons, the campaign collects food from schools across Georgia. Collected food is distributed to local food banks.

Enota families contributed 951 cans for the Gainesville area.

Alison Romberg, an Enota teacher, led the collection at the school, saying she believed the food drive helped students develop civic engagement.

"This is a great way for our students to learn about empathy, community service, and helping those in need," said Romberg.
