Warriors roll over North Hall, clinch playoff spot

CLEVELAND -- White County erased an early deficit and used a big second half to rally for a 40-14 region 8-AAAA victory over North Hall Friday in the regular season finale.<br />

The win for the Warriors (6-4, 4-3 Region 8-AAAA) clinched the fourth seed from 8-AAAA. They will travel to Region 7-AAAA champ Cartersville next week in the first round.<br />
<br />
North Hall (2-8, 2-5) broke a scoreless in the second quarter on a 22-yard pass from Drew Atha to Maddox Turner for a 7-0 lead. The Warriors answered with a pair of Maurice Sutton touchdown runs in a 1:45 span to take a 12-7 halftime lead.<br />

White County blew the game open with 21 consecutive points in the second half to push the lead to 33-7 early in the fourth quarter.<br />
<br />
Sutton finished 122 yards and three touchdowns to lead White County.<br />
<br />
Turner added a touchdown run for the Trojans and finished with 101 all-purpose yards.
