12 Gainesville area non-profits recognized through Wells Fargo's 'Days of Giving'

GAINESVILLE - Wells Fargo team members have chosen 12 non-profits across the Gainesville area for $1,000 grants as the banking company's Days of Giving program celebrates its fifth anniversary in Gainesville. <br /> <br /> Including this year's support, Wells Fargo has given more than $2.1 million in Days of Giving grants alone to groups across Georgia since the program began. This is just a portion of the company's giving. In 2013, Wells Fargo gave more than $8.2 million to groups across the state. <br /> <br /> Days of Giving allows Wells Fargo team members to honor groups helping in their local communities. <br /> <br /> "The collective work of these 12 non-profits makes a huge impact in our communities," said J.D. Mealor, business banking manager for Wells Fargo. "Our community has a variety of needs and we are honored to support these groups in their efforts to change Gainesville for the better-one step at a time."<br /> <br /> The following groups received their checks Thursday at a community breakfast at The Oaks in Gainesville:<br /> <br /> <br />
