CLEVELAND - A female driver escaped injury Tuesday morning when she ran off the side of Daybreak Road, the road that goes to the top of Long Mountain near Cleveland.

The unidentified woman, after running off the road, attempted to get the car back on the roadway and White County Public Safety Director David Murphy speculated that the spinning tires set the dry leaves on fire.

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle, but the vehicle was destroyed and fire burned down the side of the mountain.
White County and Cleveland fire units were able to extinguish the blaze before it got out of control.
