Meeting in Gainesville Tuesday to explore role of federal government in education

ATLANTA - The Georgia House Study Committee on the Role of the Federal Government in Education will hold its next meeting Tuesday in Oakwood.<br />
<br />
It will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Continuing Education Building on the University of North Georgia, Gainesville Campus. <br />
<br />
The committee is co-chaired by State Rep. Brooks Coleman (R-Duluth) and State Rep. Carl Rogers (R-Gainesville). <br />
<br />
It is charged with reviewing the effects of the federal government's ties to education in Georgia, including the Common Core State Standards.
