Flowery Branch rushes for 447 yards en route to win over Apalachee

BETHLEHEM -- Flowery Branch got on track with its rushing game at the expense of Apalachee on Friday night.<br />

The Falcons rolled up 447 yards on the ground en route to a 52-28 victory over the Wildcats in Bethlehem.<br />
<br />
Jasen Johnson did much of the damage for Flowery Branch (3-4, 2-4 Region 8-AAAAA), rushing for 193 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. The sophomore quarterback also threw for a score, passing for 80 yards. Trey Wilcoxson also put up 126 yards rushing on 15 attempts.<br />

The Falcons took a 7-0 lead after the first quarter that stretched to 24-14 at the half and 31-14 heading into the fourth quarter.<br />
<br />
Apalachee put up offensive numbers, totaling 340 yards -- 243 through the air (187 of that for Bryan Wilson). But the Falcons allowed just 97 yards rushing.<br />
<br />
The Falcons will look to keep rolling next Friday at home against Salem. Apalachee (0-7, 0-6) will travel to face Heritage, Conyers next week.
