Riverside earns first region win with shutout of Patriots

LEXINGTON -- Riverside Military notched its first Region 8-AA victory of the season on Friday, blanking Oglethorpe County 21-0 in Lexington.<br /> <br /> Avery Cagle completed 5 of 11 passes for 121 yards and 2 TDs, while also rushing for 60 yards to help lead the Eagles (2-5, 1-2 Region 8-AA) to the win. Chris Rosato paced the Riverside rushing attack, carrying 13 times for 111 yards and a touchdown. Mahlik Faulk added 44 yards rushing.<br /> <br /> Chris Howard caught both TDs for the Eagles, as they rolled up 401 yards on the night.<br /> <br /> Tarik Holmes also picked off two passes for Riverside, which led 7-0 at the half.<br /> <br /> The Eagles will play host to Greene County next Friday.
