Madison County explodes to beat North Hall

GAINESVILLE -- Madison County scored 35 unanswered points in the second and third quarter to pull away for a 49-20 victory over North Hall Friday night in Region 8-AAAA action.<br /> <br /> North Hall (0-7, 0-4 Region 8-AAAA) was tied with the Red Raiders (5-2, 3-1) 7-7 after Drew Atha scored on a 1-yard run late in the first quarter. The Trojans trailed 14-13 after Maddox Turner scored on a 31- yard run and a blocked extra point.<br /> <br /> Madison County answered right back on a 95-yard kickoff return by ReShawn Gresham on the ensuing kick off and North Hall never recovered. The Red Raiders would lead 49-13 heading into the fourth quarter.<br /> <br /> Madison County had seven different ball-carriers with 20-or-more yards rushing for the game.<br /> <br /> Kyle Bacus capped the scoring with a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter for the Trojans.<br /> <br /> Turner finished with 86 yards rushing to lead North Hall. Austin Perry added 54 yards rushing for the Trojans.<br /> <br /> North Hall will try to snap its losing streak next week playing host to winless Monroe Area at The Brickyard.
