Cornelia man dies following accidental shooting

CORNELIA - Habersham County authorities said a 25-year-old man died Thursday after he accidentally shot himself Wednesday night as he was playing with a .38 revolver.<br /> <br /> Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell said Eric Daniel apparently thought the weapon was not loaded.<br /> <br /> The incident happened around 6 p.m. at a residence on Locke Road in Cornelia. The sheriff said Daniel's wife and children, as well as his wife's sister, were in the house at the time.<br /> <br /> Terrell said no foul play is suspected, and the shooting was simply a tragic accident.<br />
