Resurfacing of Barrow, Gwinnett highway planned

ATLANTA - The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded contracts on 13 new highway infrastructure improvement projects, including pavement rehabilitation projects on Interstate Highways 16 and 20. <br />

Also included is the resurfacing of a stretch of Georgia 324 in Barrow and Gwinnett counties. The work will take place between State Routes 124 and 8.<br />
<br />
More than 42 miles of I-20 in Greene, Taliaferro, Warren and McDuffie counties will have its concrete driving surface repaired or replaced in an $8.9 million project. The work will occur between State Route 44 in Greene and the Thomson Bypass in McDuffie. <br />
<br />
In west Chatham County, 11 miles of I-16 will be similarly rehabilitated. The work will take place between the area of the Little Ogeechee River and CSX Rail Road overpass.<br />
