Hall Co. inmate died of blunt force trauma to head

ATLANTA - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday an inmate found dead in his cell at the Hall County Jail Sunday morning died as the result of blunt force trauma. <br /> <br /> The agency did not release specific details in the death of 72-year-old Ronald Sailers of Murrayville, but an arrest warrant for Sailers' cellmate, 24-year-old John Darrell Setchel of Dawsonville, said the victim's head had been slammed repeatedly against a concrete floor.<br /> <br /> Setchel has been charged with murder in the death.<br /> <br /> Sailers was found unresponsive in his cell around 6 a.m. Sunday by a jailer.<br /> <br /> The GBI conducted an autopsy on Sailers' body Monday.<br /> <br /> Hall County Sheriff's Deputy Nicole Bailes said in an email that an internal investigation into the incident continues.<br /> <br /> <br />
