'Sales tax holiday'on certain appliances in Ga. this weekend

ATLANTA - If buying a major appliance is on your to-do list before the end of the year, you might want to consider doing it now.<br />
<br />
Today through Sunday is Georgia's latest "sales tax holiday."<br />
<br />
This one applies to WaterSense and Energy Star appliances, items designed to save more electricity and/or water than traditional appliances.<br />
<br />
The tax-free weekend lets you buy an appliance costing up to $1,500 without having to pay sales taxes on it.<br />
<br />
