NORCROSS, Ga. (AP) Gwinnett County fire officials say a blaze at an apartment complex has been ruled as arson.

Gwinnett County Fire Captain Tommy Rutledge says a witness of a fire at an apartment complex in Norcross told investigators they saw someone throw an object through the bedroom window of a ground floor unit just before a fire early Sunday.

Rutledge says investigators believe the object was an incendiary device and the suspect has not been identified.

No injuries were reported and Rutledge says the fire was quickly extinguished.

Residents who have been displaced by the fire are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.

Tipsters are asked to call the Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1-800-282-5804.
