Andrew Glover to lead Piedmont band clinic

DEMOREST - Noted band composer and director Andrew Glover will lead a clinic at Piedmont College in Demorest March 28-29 for area high school students.<br /> <br /> Titled "March Performance in the 21st Century," the clinic is open to students in grades 9-12 with a director's recommendation. The registration fee is $35, and the deadline is Feb. 1, 2014. Online reservations can be made at www.piedmont.edu/FA.<br /> <br /> A concert performance will be held at 7:30 p.m., March 29. For more information, contact Vicki Pinson at [email protected], or phone 404-316-4680.<br /> <br /> Andrew Glover's diverse career in music has included successful tenures as an educator, composer/arranger, performer, conductor, clinician, and publisher. A native of the St. Louis area. He received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Central Methodist University and did graduate work at Southeast Missouri State University.<br /> <br /> Glover has composed more than 200 band works, which have been performed, recorded, and broadcast by bands worldwide. As a guest conductor, clinician, soloist, and speaker he has appeared across the U.S. in more than 35 states.
