Volleyball: No. 8 East Hall splits

RABBITTOWN -- The Class AAA eighth-ranked East Hall girls volleyball team split a pair of matches Tuesday at home.

The Lady Vikings beat Jackson County 25-17, 25-17 but lost to West Hall 25-22, 25-23 to take their overall record to 24-13 (2-5 Area 5-AAA)

Tarryn Long had eight points on serve with three aces, 34 kills, two assists, three blocks and six digs for East Hall. Kara Hix had 15 points on serve with three aces, seven kills, and 35 digs and Ashleigh Burnett scored 10 points on serve with three kills and 13 digs for the Lady Vikings.

Allyson Segars had five kills and 13 digs, Savannah Lindsey had 11 digs, and Cassida Shockley had five digs and 37 assists for East Hall.

The Lady Vikings next will play host Gainesville and Lakeview Academy on Thursday.
