The State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) will hold four public meetings over the next few weeks - two of them in Cumming - to provide information on the ending of tolling and the demolition process and timeline. There will be no formal presentations, but transportation representatives will be on hand to share information.
The Georgia 400 Tollway Demolition Project timeline tentatively includes:
October - Early signage removal
November - Toll collection ends the week before Thanksgiving
(weather permitting)
Spring/Summer 2014 - Completion of the demolition project

The total cost for the demolition project is $4.5 million, of which $3.5 million covers construction associated with the demolition.
