LOGANVILLE -- Flowery Branch is finding its rhythm at just the right time -- again.

After starting 0-2, the Falcons ripped off a second straight victory on Friday night, and dominated while doing it, blitzing Loganville 48-14 in Loganville.

The Falcons also opened 0-2 last year and ripped off eight straight victories to claim Region 8-AAAAA. On the strength of their first half performance Friday, that certainly seems plausible again in 2013.

Flowery Branch (2-2, 2-0 Region 8-AAAAA) pounced on the Red Devils for all 48 points in the first half, out-gaining Loganville 406-67 in total yards in the process.

The Falcons did it with big plays on Friday, holding the ball just 13 minutes and 1 second compared with Loganville's 34:59.

Quarterback Jackson McDonald provided a number of those big plays, rushing five times for 125 yards and three scores while also completing 6 of 11 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown.

Jeremiah Goss also rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown for the Falcons, while Cameron Davis caught three passes for 68 yards and a score and A'lencio Graham hauled in two passes for 77 yards. Devante King also added a 51-yard touchdown run in the route that also saw the Falcons defense pick off three Loganville passes -- including an interception for King. Kellen Clark and Cooper Harrison also had picks, while Cole Ford led the Flowery Branch defense with 12 tackles, three for loss.

Flowery Branch managed zero offensive plays in the third quarter but were in complete control.

The Falcons will play host to Salem next Friday.
