GAINESVILLE - Friends say Ginger Tanner was a devoted mother, beloved friend, and a talented hair stylist - and remember her kindness, her sense of humor and her commitment to her family and children.

She was killed by her husband on June 27.

Domestic violence claims the lives of more than 100 people in Georgia
each year. At least one in four women will experience some form of domestic violence during their lifetimes.

Ginger's friends at II Shae Salon in Gainesville will be holding a special event from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Friday, September 20 in the Washington Commons shopping center on John Morrow Parkway in Gainesville. The event is being held to honor Ginger's memory, to increase awareness about the issue of domestic violence in the community, and to raise funds for Gateway Domestic Violence Center. During the event, there will be music, food, raffle items and vendor booths.

For more information:
Contact event organizer Connie Finks ([email protected]) or click on the link below.
