ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Major John Latty of the Hall County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) is has been chosen to participate in the 16th National Law Enforcement Leadership Institute on Violence Against Women hosted by The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). He is one of only 30 law enforcement officers from across the country selected for the program.

Through the Institute experience, IACP hopes to raise the response to violence against women crimes higher on law enforcement's agenda and support the adoption of best practices by the officers in the HCSO.

During the four-day Institute taking place in Savannah, Major Latty, along with the other selected participants, will explore innovative approaches for investigating crimes of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking. Additional attention will center on assessing agency performance and sharing challenges and solutions with law enforcement colleagues.
