Former mayor of Auburn dies

AUBURN - A former mayor of the city of Auburn died unexpectedly over the weekend.
Charles Lenwood Cooper, who also served as a council member for Auburn, died Saturday at the age of 72. Cooper also served on the Barrow County Airport Authority and the Auburn Library Board.
