White County rolls past Habersham for Ballard's 100th win

CLEVELAND -- White County rolled up 336 yards rushing and coach Bill Ballard's 100th career victory on Friday night, as the Warriors pushed past Habersham Central 35-14 in Cleveland.

Sam Turner led the way for White County's triple option ground game, rushing for 113 yards and three touchdowns, while Dalton Whitfield added eight carries for 57 yards and Coley Loudermilk seven carries for 54 yards and a score.

Maurice Sutton also rushed for 43 yards and a score for the Warriors (1-0), while new starting quarterback AJ Vandiver passed for 32 yards.

White County picked off three Habersham passes, including two picks for Adam Johnson, while holding the Raiders to 206 yards.

Sydnee Mulligan paced Habersham (0-1) with 90 yards rushing on 15 carries.

The Raiders will play host to Stephens County next Friday.

White County, meanwhile, will travel to Lumpkin County next week.
