Visitors can buy hot dogs, hamburgers and funnel cakes, while children can play inflatable games at no charge. Plus,an antique car show begins at 5 p.m.. Prizes and trophies will be presented during the car show. The John King Band of Athens will present an outdoor concert at 7 p.m.
The celebration will conclude with a gala fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. sponsored by United Community Bank.
The games, antique car show and concert are free. Families are encouraged to bring folding chairs to enjoy the festivities. A portion of Georgia Street will be closed for the event to ensure public safety.
