Volleyball: Johnson opens season with split

BOGART -- Johnson split a pair of matches Thursday to open its season in girls volleyball action.

The Lady Knights fell host Prince Avenue Christian 26-19 and 25-23 but rebounded to Cedar Shoals 25-19, 25-14 in the second match.

Kasey Gravitt finished the night with seven aces and Cassie McDonald added five aces for Johnson (1-1).

Johnson next will play on Tuesday in a tri-match against host Buford and Dacula.
