Boy, 2, drowns in swimming pool at family's home in Cobb Co.

POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) Police are investigating the drowning death of a 2-year-old boy found in his family's swimming pool outside Atlanta.

Cobb County police spokesman Michael Bowman said the accident happened Saturday in Powder Springs.

The Marietta Daily Journal reports that the boy was found unresponsive around 8:25 p.m. Saturday at the home on Avondale Point. His name wasn't released.
