According to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, 53 year old Lelia Arroyo of Park Place in Cumming, passed away Friday afternoon at North Fulton Hospital as a result of injuries she suffered in the accident.
Arroyo was hit by the vehicle around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Atlanta Highway and Bethelview Road.
Investigators said the driver of the vehicle, a Dodge Caravan, was not hurt.
Deputy Courtney Spriggs said Arroyo was walking to work at a nearby McDonalds restaurant when the accident happened. No charges are expected in the case.
