The University of North Georgia men's golf team has been awarded with the 2013 Men's Golf Team Sportsmanship Award for the second consecutive year as announced by the Peach Belt Conference office on Thursday.

The award is the first this year for the University of North Georgia Athletics but is the squad's third all-time. North Georgia now has nine total PBC Team Sportsmanship awards since joining the conference in 2008. The university won the 2009 Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award.

The Sportsmanship Award program presents an award following each championship season to the team in that sport that best exemplifies the spirit of sportsmanship and generally conducts themselves with a high degree of integrity, character and class. The award is selected by teams who compete in their respective sport. Points are awarded based on how each team finished in the voting and in June, the institution with the highest totals will receive the 'PBC Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award.'

The Peach Belt's Senior Woman Administrators oversee the program.
