The meeting is designed like an open house and will be held from 5:30 - 7 pm. At 6:15 p.m., the general overview of the budget will be presented and then citizens can ask question of department representatives who will be available to discuss specifics of the budget plan.
Last year, a similar event was hosted during the evening with great success, according to county officials, since the evening meeting afforded an opportunity for citizens who worked during the day to have input in the budget process.
"We were pleased with the results of last year's budget open house as it provided an oppurtunity for more citizen interaction, as well as an oppurtunity to educate the public about each department's budget and services they provide," said County Administrator Randy Knighton.
The meeting will be held in the Commission Meeting Room at the Hall County Government Center on Browns Bridge Road.
