Thanks to Friday's 5-0 defeat of Savannah Arts on the road, Buford will get that chance.
After facing down Savannah despite a five-hour road trip, the Lady Wolves (19-0) will return home to take on state power St. Pius in Tuesday's Class AAA semifinals.
"The girls feel like even though they've had this great season they haven't played anybody to give them credibility," Buford girls coach Crystal Fowler said. "And St. Pius is the quintessential program that's been around and won so many big games. It will be the biggest match of the season so far for us, and they've been thinking all season about a game like this."
Third-ranked St. Pius moved past Chapel Hill 5-1 on Friday.
Buford needed some time to shake off the road weariness on Friday, pulling ahead 2-0 in a close-fought battle until the Lady Wolves scored three goals inside the final 10 minutes to put the contest out of reach.
Elexa Bahr bagged a hat trick for Buford, while Caitlyn Dawkins and Melissa Sullivan also scored one goal apiece.
"That was a character-building win for us," Fowler said. "The girls were tired when we got there, and we finally relaxed when we went ahead 3-0."

Members of the Buford girls soccer team celebrate a goal scored earlier this season.
