Golf: Lakeview's Jacobs makes state

ATHENS -- Lakeview Academy's John Jacobs qualified for the state tournament after firing an 84 Thursday at Athens Country Club in the Region 8-A tournament.

Jacobs score was the lowest from a non-qualifying team.

The Lions shot a team-total 360 but did not qualify for state. Gabe McConnell shot a 87 for Lakeview.
