Baseball: Jefferson finishes 8-AA schedule in perfect fashion

JEFFERSON -- The Jefferson baseball team swept past Oglethorpe County in a doubleheader on Tuesday to finish its Region 8-AA schedule undefeated in league play.

The Dragons (22-2, 14-0 Region 8-AA) claimed Game 1 13-2 in 5 innings.

Jacob Page earned the win in the first contest, while also pacing Jefferson at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs. Tyler Cole and Jake Franklin also drove in two runs apiece

Jefferson also dominated Game 2, 14-2 in 5 innings.

Jake Franklin was the winning pitcher in Game 2, also doing plenty of damage at the plate with two doubles and three RBIs. Max Ford also had two hits, including a double and two RBIs, while Page went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a double.

Jefferson will host Commerce on Wednesday.
