Hotze' background includes serving as a houseparent at the Goshen Valley Boys' Ranch in Waleska, and director of youth ministries at Jasper UMC in Jasper and St. Paul UMC in Marietta. She has been involved in numerous Bible studies as well as community outreach and mission programs and also has experience in graphic design and social media and plays guitar.
"We are excited to have Denise on staff at McEver Road UMC, and we anticipate great things from our youth program as she helps us expand and enhance our youth ministry," said Pastor Rob Bruce.
Hotze is a graduate of McCook Central High School and attended the University of Nebraska.
She and Steven, her husband of 15 years, have a 13-year-old son.
