ATLANTA -- Georgia wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell will have arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Friday and miss the remainder of the team's spring practice.

Mitchell was second on the team with 572 yards receiving on 40 catches in 2012. Georgia director of sports medicine Ron Courson says Mitchell is expected to be fully recovered for the start of preseason practice in August.

Mitchell, a junior from Valdosta who also has played cornerback, injured his knee in Georgia's scrimmage on Saturday.

Georgia's G-Day spring game is Saturday at Sanford Stadium.
