Soccer: GHS boys win fourth straight 8-AAAAA match

FLOWERY BRANCH -- Roman Arriaga had two goals and one assist to lead the Gainesville boys soccer team to a 5-0 win over Flowery Branch Thursday night.

Wilmar Caldera and Arlis Nunez had one goal each and the Red Elephants also got an own goal by the Falcons. Ricardo Gomez had three assists for Gainesville

It was the fourth straight region win for the Elephants (8-3-1, 4-1 Region 8-AAAAA) and moved them within one-half game of first place Clarke Central.

Gainesville next will travel to North Forsyth on April 9th for a non-region match. The Elephants will resume region play April 12 at home against Cedar Shoals.
