Baseball: Dragons hold off Rabun County

TIGER -- Jefferson broke a scoreless tie with three runs in the sixth and then held for a 3-0 win over Rabun County Thursday in Region 8-AA action.

Jake Franklin had a huge two-RBI double to break the tie and then scored on a sacrifice fly from Hanon Price.

Ethan Garner earned the win from the mound for Jefferson (14-2, 7-0 Region 8-AA) with one strikeout and yielded just one hit over three innings after taking over for Max Ford, who had fanned four and allowed no hits in the first three innings. Micah Carpenter got the save with a pair of strikeouts in one inning.
