Baseball: Falcons fall to No. 1 Loganville

FLOWERY BRANCH -- Flowery Branch fell 6-4 to No. 1 Loganville Tuesday in a battle of Region 8-AAAAA unbeatens.

Flowery Branch (9-5, 4-1 Region 8-AAAAA) trailed 6-3 going into the bottom of the seventh. The Falcons scored once and had the tying run at the plate but could not get the big hit.

Brad Kellar pitched well for Flowery Branch lasting 5 1/3 innings.

The two teams will play again Wednesday in the second of a home-and-home series.
