Tennis: GHS boys slam Winder-Barrow

WINDER -- The Gainesville boys tennis team remained perfect in Region 8-AAAAA play after taking a 5-0 win over Winder-Barrow Tuesday.

The Red Elephants dropped just one set in getting the victory. Jackson Goble won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, Graham McKinnon won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, and Reagan Williams won 7-5, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

In doubles, Nick Dillard and Alec Zais won 7-6(7-3), 6-1 at No. 1 and Trevor Munn and Charles Calkins rallied from a set down to take a 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles.

Gainesville next will take on Union Grove at home on Wednesday.
