LLI needs 500+ seasonal workers

LAKE LANIER ISLANDS - The Georgia Department of Labor's (GDOL's) Gainesville Career Center will assist Lake Lanier Islands in a series of hiring events as part of the resort's two-week long effort to fill over 500 summer jobs.

The sessions will be held Thursday and Friday, March 21-22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Summer House at the resort, and on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Islands' Grand Hall. The following week, they'll be in the same places on the same days but the Thursday and Friday hours will vary from the first week: Thursday and Friday, March 28-29, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Summer House and on Saturday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Grand Hall.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old, bring two forms of identification, and pass a background check. They are encouraged to dress appropriately to ensure chances of employment.

Selected applicants will work as lifeguards, equestrian and other attendants, docks/beach and golf staff, security, retail sales clerks, and registration and admissions clerks, as well as waiters and waitresses and other food service workers and personnel to work in housekeeping.
