Hall County Transportation Director Jewel Armour said the bus had stopped to pick up a student when a car hit the bus from behind. He said 12 students were on the bus, which was headed to Lanier Elementary School.
The driver of the vehicle complained of soreness but was not transported, according to Armour.
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m.
