Tennis: Chestatee boys take thrilliing win over Lanier

GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee boys tennis team took an exciting 3-2 win over Lanier Thursday for their first team win of the season.

With the match tied 2-2, sophomores Reed Johnson and Austin Passmore clinched the victory at No. 2 doubles winning a second set tiebreaker over the Longhorns' Hojun Lee and Armin Zmajevac 6-4, 7-6 (7-3).

Chrstatee also got a win at No. 1 doubles with senior Blaine Brown and sophomore Juan Carrion taking a 6-4, 6-4 win over Chris Thai and Edy Lee.

Chestatee's Jonathan Cook also won an exciting match at No. 1 singles, defeating the Longhorn's Cullen Moss 7-6 (8-6), 7-5.

Lanier got wins at Nos. 2 and 3 singles matches with Kevin Wagner beating Chestatee's Teddy Werner 6-4, 6-3 and Kyle Galloway defeating beating Tyler Burgess 6-1, 6-1.
