OAKWOOD -- The Johnson girls will have one more chance to try and end their 26-game losing streak this season.

The Lady Knights lost 62-24 to Eastside Thursday in a Region 8-AAAA make-up game from two weeks ago. Johnson (0-25, 0-7 Region 8-AAAA) has not won since the second-to-last game of the 2011-12 season.

Johnson will travel to Walnut Grove on Saturday in the Region 8-AAAA play-in. The Lady Knights will play the Lady Warriors at 3 p.m. with the winner advancing to the first round of the region tournament, which begins Monday at Johnson, and the loser seeing the end of the season.

Eastside (11-5-2) used a big third quarter to blow the game open. The Lady Eagles led 31-13 at halftime but outscored Johnson 25-4 in the third quarter.

Ketoya Carruth had six points to lead Johnson. Kimmie Brady, Bridgette Johnson, Britteny Greene, and Ariel Collins each had four points for the Lady Knights.

Jazzmine Cook had 19 points to lead Eastside.
