Routes and cycles are being more geographically grouped, meaning meter readers will be able to stay in one general area, rather than going from one part of the county to another.
"What this means to the county water and sewer department customers is a potential change in their bill date and their due date beginning with their March billing," county spokeswoman Jodi Gardner said.
Gardner said detailed information about the change is going out to customers this month with their bills.
The county has more than 47,000 water meters.
