Northeast GA mountains turned into a "Winter Wonderland"

Posted 6:34PM on Saturday 2nd February 2013 ( 12 years ago )
Snowfall of up to 4-6 inches are expected in the higher elevations Saturday night into Sunday morning. As of 6pm, reports of snow accumulations of up to three inches were reported in Rabun and northern White County.

Authorities are urging travelers to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Joshua Christy of Tiger said, "I haven't been out on the roads, I can't get out of my driveway. "

DOT crews were already out in the area scraping and spreading salt as the snow continued to fall.

More details on the winter weather as they become available.
