The Lady Tigers (10-2) advanced with a solid defensive effort. After yielding 10 points in the first quarter, Dawson County allowed just 16 points over the final three quarters.
Dawson County led 21-10 after the first quarter but outscored Union County 38-8 over the next two periods to run out to a 59-18 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Ashley Parker had another double-double for Dawson County with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Sheyenne Seabolt added 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds and Karlie Bearden had 10 points for the Lady Tigers. Brooke Wende scored eight points to go with five rebounds for Dawson County.
The win put Dawson County in the tournament semifinals and will take on the Towns County-Gordon Lee winner Friday at 7 p.m.
