Labeled "Draft 1," the document shows that classes are set to begin on Friday, Aug. 8 and end Wednesday, May 20. Two make-up days, to be used in case of inclement weather, are built into the calendar: May 26-27.
Thanksgiving holidays will be observed Monday, Nov. 24-Friday, Nov. 28.
The calendar calls for Christmas holidays to begin Monday, Dec. 22, and end Friday, Jan. 2. However, students won't have to return to class until Tuesday, Jan. 6 because Monday, Jan. 5, is designated as a Teacher Workday.
Spring break is planned Monday, April 6-Friday, April 10.
As usual a number of other Teacher Workdays and student holidays are peppered throughout the 2014-2015 school year.
