2013 wettest year on record for Helen, Sautee

ATLANTA - This news might not be a surprise to you but it's official: as of mid-week last week, this is the wettest year on record for both Helen and Sautee. <br /> <br /> According to Sean Miller, Service Climatologist with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Helen has received 89.81 inches of rain and Sautee 87.38 inches. <br /> <br /> "With an active pattern expected in the near future it will be interesting to see what the final precipitation totals are by the end of the year," Miller added. He said that the previous records for these to areas were in 1992 for Helen and 2009 for Sautee. <br /> <br />
