CLARKESVILLE - Nicole Pearce has been named a recruiter on the North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) Student Affairs staff.

As a long-time resident of Rabun County, Pearce has been familiar with the college for many years. After graduating from the University of West Georgia with a BS in Economics, she began working as an admissions assistant for a global outdoor therapeutic program.

"I'm excited about being a part of the campus life here at North Georgia Tech," she said.

In just the first few days on the job, she travelled with NGTC High School Coordinator Kallan Williams to all three of the college's campuses as well as almost all of the high schools in the service area. "The campuses are beautiful and the people are great to work with."

Her job will include hosting the college's annual High School Open House, representing the college at various college and career fairs, and visiting local high schools.

"I love the career-focused aspect of presenting the college to potential students," she said. "It is exciting to get a chance to talk to students in high school and to start the conversation about careers as early as possible. So many times we miss the chance to steer kids in the right direction at the critical moment, and I'm looking forward to sharing the opportunities that North Georgia Tech has to offer."
