GAINESVILLE - Wells Fargo team members have chosen 13 non-profits across the Gainesville area for $1,000 grants through the Days of Giving program.

Days of Giving, now in its fourth year, allows team members to honor groups helping in their local communities. The program began in 2010.

"Just read the names to get a sense of the great work these groups are doing," said Joe Atkinson, area president for North Georgia.

The following groups received their checks Thursday at a community breakfast at the Fair Street Neighborhood Center in Gainesville.

The Gateway House
Military Outreach for Service
Children's Rainbow Home
My Sister's Place
CASA
Boys and Girls Club of Hall County
Turning Point Women's Health
Family Promise of Hall County
FCA One Way to Play
For Her Glory
Junior Achievement of GA - Northeast District
Sunshine on a Ranney Day
Eagle Ranch, Inc.

"We are doing our best to be a great local bank, and this is a cornerstone of our local giving and volunteerism," said J.D. Mealor, business banking area manager.

Similar events are taking place this fall across Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.
