Volleyball: Jefferson falls to No. 1 Westminster in AAA semis

ATLANTA -- In the end, No. 1 Westminster was just too much for Jefferson in the semifinals of the Class AAA girls state volleyball playoffs.

The Lady Dragons, fresh off a thrilling five-set win in the quarterfinals, fell to the Lady Wildcats 25-13, 25-9, 25-15 in the best-of-five sets.

The taller Lady Wildcats were able to exploit a good defensive Jefferson team.

Despite the loss, the Lady Dragons completed their best-ever season at 34-12 and the trip the Final Four was the farthest the program had ever advanced.
